Applicants will be notified by June 16, 2023.

Thank you to all who submitted an abstract in one of these themed areas:

  • Novel approaches to care: New program initiatives or emerging research that address complex care, barriers to care, or current issues in substance use.
  • Care in specific settings: Approaches to caring for people who use substances in settings such as the emergency department, prison, inpatient units, emergency department, OPS/SCS, or rural or remote communities
  • Policy: Substance use–related policy issues or advocacy efforts
  • Clinical practice: Management of specific substance use challenges
  • Psychosocial interventions: Exploring a range of roles and approaches in supporting people who use substances, such as peer support, system navigation, contingency management, and different therapy modalities

Formats include:

  • Workshops: 120-minute session, including at least 30 minutes of interactive content
  • Talks: 45-minute talk + 15-minute Q&A session
  • Snapshots: Brief 15-minute presentations on a care innovation, a research idea, or a case study
